Michigan Employment Security Commission (MESC), Traverse City, MI 1998
Design services for alterations to 18,800 SF of existing, ground-floor commercial lease space for offices serving Michigan’s Unemployment Agency. The project is located within an existing retail shopping plaza and included selective demolition, interior alterations, and site work.
Almira Historical Society Museum, Lake Ann, MI 2000
A new, one story, 2,470 SF historical museum whose mission is to strengthen a small rural community’s identity by connecting the past and the present. The building design is economical, functional, and reflects the historical character of the village of Lake Ann.
Leelanau County Prosecutor’s Office, Leland, MI 2001
Schematic architectural design for alterations to an existing one-story, 4,300 SF commercial building in Leland, Michigan, for the proposed offices of the county prosecutor. The plan included office and conference spaces as well as file storage and related support functions (project not built).
Music House Museum, Acme, MI 2003
Existing building analysis, master planning, and architectural design proposal for an existing museum of musical instruments located near Acme, Michigan. Design for a Phase-1 addition included an improved public entry porch, a new small display gallery, public toilets, and support spaces. The facility master plan proposes a larger, Phase-2 theatre organ building addition covering an approximately 11,000 SF area (project not built).
Peaine Township Fire Station, Beaver Island, MI 2004-5
A new, one story, 4,000 SF township fire station building and its associated site development, including a two-bay (4-stall) apparatus garage, meeting room, office, bunk room, kitchen, toilets, and mechanical/utility spaces. This project was publicly funded, with financial support from USDA/Rural Development.
Peaine Township Hall, Beaver Island, MI 2005-6
A one story, 1,440 SF, wood frame addition to the existing Peaine Township Hall building, including six offices, a work room, a connecting egress corridor, and selective modification of the existing building interior. This project was publicly funded.
Beaver Island Waste Transfer Station Addition, Beaver Island, MI 2006-7
1,023 SF waste storage addition to the existing waste recycling and transfer building on Beaver Island. This project was publicly funded.
Branch Library and Village Offices, Kingsley, MI 2007-8
A new, one story, 8,330 SF branch library and municipal office building and its associated site development, including spaces for village government offices, public meetings and presentations, a public lending library, and related support functions. This project was publicly funded, with financial support from USDA/Rural Development.
Paradise Township Emergency Services Station, Kingsley, MI 2007-8
A new, one story, 7,833 SF emergency services station and its associated site development, including four apparatus storage bays, a training room, kitchen, offices, day rooms, and related support functions. This project was publicly funded.
Brownson Park Improvements, Kingsley, MI 2010-11
A new services building with public toilet and storage room, a new open-air band pavilion, and facade remodeling of an existing municipal well pump house in Kingsley’s Brownson Park. This project was publicly funded, with financial support from the Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC).
Paradise Township Emergency Services Station Addition, Kingsley, MI 2017
Design services for a one story (plus basement), 2,150 SF addition to the existing Paradise Township Emergency Services Station, and associated site improvements. The project included additional office and meeting space for the facility, as well as staff support and wellness areas.
